Words cannot express

24 01 2012

just how freakin amazing this is. No, really. Read the youtube blurb:

“In 2009, Casey Pugh asked thousands of Internet users to remake “Star Wars: A New Hope” into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. Contributors were allowed to recreate scenes from Star Wars however they wanted. Within just a few months SWU grew into a wild success. The creativity that poured into the project was unimaginable.”

Every fifteen seconds the film style changes dramatically. Everything from professional quality to lazy home-recording, excellent voice acting to corny over-acting, pro-looking cartoons, computer animation, film noir, impressionism, and steam punk are represented. More. It’s…it’s funny, I thought it’d be hard to watch but it was great. Lots of impressive work, laugh-out-loud moments, and some hip references external to Star Wars.

Here’s how I recommend you watch it. I watched it in five to fifteen minute chunks (as I waited for taxi times in Star Wars or crew skills to flip or friends to assemble for LoL or whatever) and people kept asking me wtf I was laughing at.

Well, this is what I was laughing at. Enjoy. ❤
