Some good news from Bethesda.

4 12 2011

We’ve also realized that with the millions upon millions of people playing Skyrim, we need to treat our updates with greater care. If we get too aggressive trying to fix a minor issue, we run a risk of breaking something larger in a game like this. To be safe, we are prioritizing code side fixes right now over data fixes.

Source here. So that’s good news, because – let me tell you – the complete lack of magic/elemental resistance is only barely overshadowed by the fact Lydia seems to have gotten stupider. Not following me through doors? C’mon, guys. 😦 She used to always follow me through doors!

That said, I still love the game, and little things like these are 1. why I usually wait a year to play these games, and 2. fixed before you know it.

Meanwhile, I have both contracted and cured Lycanthropy of myself (it was in character to do it), lead a one-man assault on the Thalmor Embassy (a successful one, I might add…stupid pointy-eared jerks), and experienced “Skyrim does the Hangover”. All in all, a full weekend.

Also, here’s a modern day bard singing about Dovahkiin.
